SUNDAY, July 17
2:08 a.m. - The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a resident of Mountain View Drive, Boardman, reporting his girlfriend had broken his hand. The caller said he would drive himself to the hospital.
11:06 p.m. - A resident of Pond Drive, Heppner, called the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office to complain about the smell from a dead deer on the neighbor’s property.
2:05 p.m. - Residents of River Ridge Drive, Boardman, complained to the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office about a young man going door to door in the neighborhood asking for odd jobs. A Boardman police officer talked to the man and was told he was trying to gather funds to help pay for his grandmother’s funeral, which was in a couple of days.
6:27 p.m. - A dump truck blew a tire on Interstate 84 eastbound near Boardman. Debris in the road caused another car to wreck. Boardman fire and ambulance crews, Oregon State Police and the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene.
SATURDAY, July 16
9:03 a.m. - An employee of Mikami Brothers Potatoes, 2601 S. First St., Hermiston, reported the theft of tires from the business the previous night. The caller had video of the suspect’s vehicle and asked for contact from a Umatilla County sheriff’s deputy.
8:02 p.m. - A boy was almost hit by a car while he was mowing the yard at his home on North Dunne Street, the boy’s mother reported to Stanfield police. The car left the area and headed toward Pilot Travel Center, 2115 S. Highway 395.
FRIDAY, July 15
1:39 p.m. - A white full-size van with eight occupants got stuck on the railroad tracks at South Kennedy Street and Ramos Lane, Echo. Union Pacific Rail Road reported they had stopped the train until the vehicle was cleared from the tracks.
4:38 a.m. - A resident of Vista Trailer Park, 1800 N.E. 10th St., Hermiston, reported his car stolen. The caller said the vehicle was unlocked with the keys in it, and it had a half tank of gas. The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office took a theft report.
8:12 p.m. - A Umatilla police officer was called to Crossroads Truck Stop, 2020 Highway 730, Umatilla, by an employee of the restaurant who said a woman eating with her family was biting and pinching the children. The caller also said she believed the parents were under the influence of something.
THURSDAY, July 14
8:11 a.m. - A resident of Hat Rock Road, Hermiston, reported a woman came into his house while he was taking a shower and took his tablet computer and $40 cash. He requested contact from a Umatilla County sheriff’s deputy.
9:57 a.m. - A person driving westbound on Interstate 84 near Boardman reported a man lying on the ground alongside the freeway with a piece of cardboard over his body. The caller requested a welfare check. Oregon State Police investigated.
10:03 a.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office were called when a person reported a Walmart bag in a ditch along the west side of the bridge on East Loop and South Edwards roads had some kind of hair sticking out of it. The caller wasn’t sure whether the hair was animal or human.
10:24 a.m. - The manager of Mountain Glen Apartments, 200 N.E. Pioneer Drive, Heppner, reported her office was broken into and believes juveniles were the culprits. The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office took a report.
7:42 p.m. - A four-year-old child wandering alone near the Don Baxter Skate Park, 8 N. Main Ave., Irrigon, was returned to his home by a Morrow County sheriff’s deputy.
7:50 p.m. - The Walla Walla Sheriff’s Office requested contact from the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office after two people involved in a car accident near Stateline Road and Highway 332 in Washington reported fleeing from an assault in Umatilla County.
8:59 p.m. - Prescription medication was reported stolen from a home on South Townsend Road, Hermiston. The caller named a possible suspect.
WEDNESDAY, July 13
7:10 a.m. - The Boardman Fire Department, Boardman Police Department and Umatilla Electric Co-operative were called to the vicinity of Marine Lane And Ullman Boulevard for a fire caused by an exploding transformer.
1:19 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office received a report of severe damage to two fifth-wheel trailers in a secured storage area on East Elm Street, Hermiston.
2:22 p.m. - A resident of Lind Road, Umatilla, called the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office to report he thinks the neighbors are laying pipe to his well to steal his water.
6:17 p.m. - An onion grower on Craig and West Spearman roads, Hermiston, reported people are stealing their onions and provided the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office with a license plate number for one of the thieves.
8:58 p.m. - A dog attacked someone riding horseback on Wilson Lane, Boardman. The Boardman ambulance took the injured rider to Good Shepherd Medical Center, Hermiston.
TUESDAY, July 12
12:15 p.m. - Windows were smashed during the night on several vehicles at Islas Auto Sales, 82070 N. Highway 395, Umatilla.
1:21 p.m. - Mail was stolen from a mailbox at a home on West Elm Avenue, Hermiston. The homeowner named a possible suspect.
5:55 p.m. - Thieves broke into a pumphouse at a residence on Buffalo Lane, Hermiston, and stole a shotgun reloader belonging to the landlord. The caller’s roommate saw someone outside the home between 11 and 11:30 p.m. The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office took a theft report.
7:02 p.m. - Umatilla police talked to a resident of Cowlitz Avenue after the woman’s ex-husband called police to report she had called him and said “there is a hit out for him and their two grown children.”
8:16 p.m. - A resident of Vista Park, 1800 N.E. 10th St., Hermiston, reported a suspicious man at the trailer park “flipped around and sped out of the park” when the caller tried to approach him. The man then parked at Victory Lighthouse Church, 1940 N.E. 10th St., and started pulling things out of his van and yelling. The caller requested contact from a Umatilla County sheriff’s deputy.
9:01 p.m. - A lifted 4-wheel-drive pickup hit a telephone pole head-on, backed up and drove away, disrupting power on Southshore Drive, Umatilla.
10:08 p.m. - Someone broke a window in the front door of a home on East Elm Street, Hermiston, and also cut the plastic on the inside of the window. The homeowner was unsure whether anyone entered the house. A Umatilla County sheriff’s deputy took a report.
11:49 p.m. - Employees at the Irrigon Shell Station, 300 E. Highway 730, reported a person came in and screamed at them. Morrow County sheriff’s deputies and Umatilla police officers responded, but were unable to locate the person.
MONDAY, July 11
10:03 a.m. - A resident of Columbia Boulevard, Umatilla, reported someone broke her windows with eggs sometime during the night. Another resident on Naches Avenue, Umatilla, reported his house was egged at 12:04 p.m.
12:05 p.m. - A rear license plate was reported stolen from a 2000 Dodge Dakota pickup on Jeppeson Lane, Hermiston.
12:31 p.m. - Three vehicles crashed on Highway 395 near Fiesta Foods in Hermiston and one of the vehicles drove off, according to a motorist involved in the crash. There were no injuries and the wreck didn’t block traffic, but a silver Honda Prelude left the scene, leaving a white Dodge Stratus and a silver Chevy truck.
2:12 p.m. - A woman driving a white Chevy Monte Carlo reached through the window of the Hermiston Dutch Brothers drive-through trying to hit the employee.
6:19 p.m. - A man on Northwest Church and North Main streets, Heppner, was assaulted by a man who pulled over his car, jumped out and punched him. The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office took a report.
6:41 p.m. - A cell phone was stolen sometime July 5 from a camp trailer on East View Drive, Hermiston. The caller named a possible suspect.
8:08 p.m. - A group of people were playing basketball on NE Alora Drive, Hermiston, and a woman reported the male driver of a vehicle that had been parked nearby for an hour tried to entice one of her granddaughters in his vehicles with candy.
8:28 p.m. - The Umatilla Police Department investigated a reported domestic assault at a home on Southshore Drive.

•Hermiston police arrested Ricardo Villarreal Rodriguez, 33, address not provided, for first-degree forcible rape.
•Oregon State Police arrested Joshua John Magdos, 25, Phoenix, Ariz., for DUII (marijuana).
•Oregon State Police arrested Roberto Navarro, 21, of Boardman, for DUII, driving while suspended and failure to install ignition interlock device.
Thursday
•Mariah Shaunika Ray Wright, 24, address not provided, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and second-degree disorderly conduct.
•Donald Kenneth Cundiff Jr., 21, address not provided, was arrested by Hermiston police on charges of first-degree unlawful sexual penetration (two counts) and first-degree sexual abuse.

•The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office arrested Felix Cantu, 43, address not provided, for felony fourth-degree assault and harassment (offensive physical contact).

•Hermiston police arrested Codey Allen Sanders, 22, address not provided, for possession of methamphetamine, carrying a concealed weapon, contempt of court and on a felony failure to appear warrant.
